April 18 - International Reflection Day

Have a mirror handy? Take a deep look into it and do some soul searching. How do you see yourself? How do you think others see yourself? Are you too hard on yourself?

Hopefully the answer to these questions are positive. I see too many people wrapped up in how others perceive themselves. Is that really important though? Sure it is to some degree, but what really counts is looking after yourself. Make sure to take care of number one, yourself. Look in that mirror and smile, laugh, grin, sing, or cry (out of happiness of course). I typically make faces because I'm sort of weird like that.

This post sure does sound like I'm on a soapbox preaching to the blogger masses reading this. My aim is for fellow bloggers to feel comfortable in their skin and cherish all the things they currently are. I know I take things for granted about myself and I highly doubt I'm the only person in the world that does this. Have fun today, be yourself. Act goofy when it seems least appropriate and enjoy!

Egan,

You truly are the wind beneath my wings.

Hyperion, are you channeling Bette Midler? When I look in the mirror I see a guy that should get a haircut, but has learned to love his curls. There was a time when I used to cut them off my head before school. I don't recommend giving yourself a haircut if you want to appear attractive.

Note: I can't be held responsible for what ChickyBabe blogs about on her blog.

Where did my comment go????

I left a comment here last night telling Egan to check my post today as it seems to be a homage to his Day, great minds etc but it's all gone!!!!

In light of how we doubled up on this topic, when I look in the mirror today, I see Egan for 17 seconds, smiling back :).

Thanks ChickyBabe. I will take those 17 seconds as a compliment. Does Pixie still love me?

Of course she does! She's nagging me today...
